Justin Brown grew up attending church and the fire of his spiritual life burned strong enough to get him through several years of trauma and tragedy during his middle school and high school years. Student leadership in campus ministry turned into vocational ministry, followed by divinity school. Later, he studied Law to become equipped to be a catalyst for social change, which is a big part of his work leading the fair lending and consumer protection function for a community bank in Western New York.
Justin has completed several marathons (and will someday convince one of his children to join him for one) and looks forward to the next attempt to break his PR. He’s also the Chief Fun Officer, Officer, leading his family on unpredictable adventures – whether spontaneous or planned well in advance.
Erica is founder and executive director of Lily House Anti-Trafficking in the Dominican Republic. She received Christ as a young child, learning to delight in Him in her college
years and follow Him into full-time missions. She and her husband married in 2003 and by 2006 were on the field church-planting with Score International.
In those church communities, God opened Erica’s eyes to vulnerable women in prostitution and trafficking. In 2009, after their second daughter was born, so was Lily House Safehouse Ministry. She has partnered with the International Justice Mission, The DR Department of Trafficking and others to fight against injustices and share Christ in the darkest places. Erica continues to produce educational Christian curriculum for vulnerable women and mentor other safehouse start-ups. She currently serves on staff at her home church as well as on the Executive Leadership Team at SCORE International USA, while speaking and advocating for Lily House Anti-Trafficking.
Michael was born into a minority family in the rust belt city of Buffalo, NY. He is married to Jillian and together they have raised Miah, Caleb and Jonah.
Michael launched CenterPointe Community Church in 2002 where he pastored until he felt God bringing that chapter of his life to an end in 2019. Shortly thereafter he launched Yuvia to serve those who serve globally.
Michael attended Lancaster Bible College where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Bible and a Master of Arts in Ministry. Additionally, he has an Associates degree in accounting, is a John Maxwell leadership coach, an Amen Clinics brain health
professional, a certified Enneagram Coach, and a SYMBIS marriage facilitator.
Do you know and love any missionary families who could benefit from Yuvia Ministries?
